Supplier Spotlight: Didgeridoonas

Supplier Spotlight: Didgeridoonas

Welcome to the first of our supplier spotlight series, looking at the company Didgeridoonas.

This Australian company started in 1995 making doonas (quilts for those confused!), then branched out into other woolen items, and then further into other areas. 30 years on they are known for their oilskin and leather creations, designed in Australia and manufactured in Fiji.

The Didgeridoonas factories in Fiji primarily hire women, including widows, who need the extra work to help support their families. By employing these people the money goes back into the local community and helps everyone.

Every Didgeridoonas item is made with quality in mind, and if taken care of will lasts a lifetime. Oilskin and leather work in harmony, with the right material chosen for the right task. As such they make great items to take out bush or for those working the land.

Currently here at Riverbend Leather we stock several Didgeridoonas wallets, bags, aprons, and bottle carriers, all designed to be used out and about.
